100mm Steel Ball Hot Rolling Heating Furnace
100mm Steel Ball Hot Rolling Heating Furnace: Process, Advantages and Application
The 100mm steel ball is a key wear-resistant component widely used in mining, cement, and thermal power industries. Its mechanical performance, surface finish, and structural uniformity directly determine the service life of grinding equipment. As the core front-end equipment of hot rolling production lines, the 100mm steel ball hot rolling heating furnace undertakes the critical task of precise and uniform heating of steel billets, laying a solid foundation for high-quality steel ball rolling forming.

Core Working Principle
Most mainstream 100mm steel ball heating furnaces adopt medium-frequency induction heating technology, relying on electromagnetic induction to realize internal and external synchronous heating of round steel billets. The equipment converts alternating current into a stable alternating magnetic field through an induction coil. When the 100mm steel ball blank passes through the magnetic field, dense eddy currents are generated inside the metal. The self-resistance of the steel billet converts electric energy into thermal energy, completing rapid heating in a short time.
Different from traditional flame heating, this heating mode realizes internal and external consistent temperature rise without relying on external heat transfer. It effectively avoids the defects of surface overheating and internal underheating, and perfectly matches the heating requirements of 100mm large-diameter steel balls, ensuring the overall structural stability of the blank before rolling.

Standard Heating Process Flow
The heating furnace formulates a staged temperature control strategy for 100mm steel balls to meet hot rolling process standards. Firstly, the feeding system stably conveys qualified round steel billets into the furnace body for preheating, eliminating internal stress of the steel and preventing thermal deformation during rapid heating. Secondly, the medium-frequency power supply adjusts the current and frequency to heat the blank to the rolling temperature range of 1000–1100℃ with high precision.
Finally, the constant-temperature soaking zone ensures the temperature deviation of the steel billet is controlled within ±10℃, achieving uniform austenitization of the metal structure. After heating, the high-temperature blank is quickly sent to the rolling mill for skew rolling forming, realizing continuous and streamlined production from heating to rolling.
Key Technical Advantages
The professional heating furnace for 100mm steel ball hot rolling has prominent technical advantages in industrial production. First, it features high heating efficiency. The induction heating mode shortens the heating cycle to tens of seconds, far exceeding the efficiency of traditional furnaces, and supports continuous mass production.
Second, it achieves low loss and high quality. Uniform heating greatly reduces surface oxidation and decarburization of 100mm steel blanks, improving the surface finish and roundness of finished steel balls. Third, the equipment is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. It eliminates fuel combustion pollution, with low heat loss and high electrothermal conversion efficiency, effectively reducing production energy consumption and operating costs.
In addition, the furnace is equipped with PLC intelligent control system, which can automatically adjust heating parameters according to billet specifications, realizing unattended and precise production control.

Industrial Application Value
As the core supporting equipment of high-precision hot rolling steel ball production lines, the 100mm steel ball heating furnace solves the industry pain points of uneven heating, low yield and unstable product quality of large-diameter steel balls. The high-temperature uniform heating effect improves the plasticity of steel blanks and reduces rolling deformation resistance, making the internal structure of rolled steel balls denser and their wear resistance and impact resistance significantly improved.
With stable operation and strong compatibility, the furnace is suitable for mass production of 100mm wear-resistant steel balls in various industries. It has become essential equipment for upgrading high-efficiency and energy-saving steel ball production lines, bringing stable quality assurance and economic benefits for industrial grinding scenarios.
